--> 10/11/9/10

(500ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) clear rich brown, offwhite bubbles. Nose is very subdued, brown sugar, toasty grain and raisin bread. Taste of raisin, cinnamon, toasty bread with a creamy and fruity finish.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a medium brown-amber color with a white head. The aroma is toffee and earthy hops. The flavor is chocolate, earth, dirt and toffee. There is no detectable alcohol. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottled. Tradional bock aroma, malty and sweet. Appearance is brown with a small head. Taste is very malty, with hints of caramel, hop bitterness and candy. Little carbonation. Medium bodied. Tasty brew.

Rune (11055) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 11, 2010
500ml in a pottery bottle with a swing-top that was bought at Galeria Kaufhof am Alex in Berlin. Presented as a Weihnachtsbier. Shining, dark brown body with ruby highlights. Decent, off-white head fading to a patchy surface. Dark malty aroma with discreet notes of dark fruits. Toffee malts in flavour with a touch of chocolate and dark fruits far behind. Dry, noble hops to the ending to keep the malty sweetness at bay. Smooth drinking. Just alright on a lazy day back home (Tromsø, 03.01.2010).

Gr0ve (2177) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 28, 2009
500 ml bottle. Reddish brown and crystal clear. Tall light beige fine-laced head that clings to the glass. Papery aroma with a spritzy lager character. Nutty malty and papery flavours. The hops are clearly there but they are clean and metallic with a note of grass and leather. Nice and nutty, but the hops hide the sweetness really well and leaves the beer rather thin and disappointing.

pivnizub (10102) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - DEC 6, 2009
Bottle: Clear, amber coloured, quite stable mid-sized off-white head; caramelly nose with a light acidity (no infection!) and traces of hops; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; slightly lingering solid bitter-sweet finish with a hoppy touch, completed by molasses and dried fruits. Nice Bock, quite well balanced.......
