50 cL bottle. Pours dark yet visible brown with a deep amber glare, huge light tan head. Light mouldy malt aroma. Flavour is vaguely roasted malt with a solid alcohol note. Alcohol finish with a mild metallic note. Somewhat ordinary and without any flavours other than alcohol.

Well balanced, deceivingly light, malty, a little sourness. A pleasant bock.

Jun 10, 2008 Bottle (50 cl) from a local beer store in Berlin. Dark reddish brown, medium beige head. Some nutty malts and faint notes of boiled vegetables. medium bodied with soft carbonation. Ok balance, dry finish. A mediocre bock.

Clear dark reddish brown to black color, stable brown head. Sweet, a bit vegetable and almond scent. Roasted malt, caramelly sweet and metallic taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Rather dissapointing, expected more of everthing I guess.

May 27, 2008 Bottle 50 cl. [Courtesy of friends Heidi and Peter] Huge creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework in the glass. Color was mahogany. Aroma of mild toasted malt, hint of chocolate and caramel. Over the palate came bread, light roasted malt, mild fruity notes, brown sugar and dried fruity notes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and mild alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet flavor with some counter bitterness. Bread and roasted malty finish. Quit nice and very drinkable.
