500 ml bottle. Pours clear amber. A great bock. I prefer the dark Bock, but this light one is very good, too.

Bottle.... It pours golden with a large white head..... The aroma is some honey, yeast, sweet and malts...The flavor is very similar to the aroma....nice brew.....

Kräftige goldene Farbe, Schaumkrone fällt schnell zusammen (hält etwa 1,5min). Starker Alkoholischer Geschmack, dazu süß-säuerlich und etwas hopfig. Fazit: Nicht das was ich mir unter einem Bock vorstelle, nur der Alkoholgehalt passt.

[500ml bottle] Deep golden beer with a nice white head. Heavy aroma of sweet, sweaty malt. Honey and bready yeast on the nose. Flavours are very similar, although the finish becomes far more alcohol-prevalent as you go on. In the end, that helps deal with the sweet malt, but to be honest – I found it a bit much [17042012]

Pale golden yellow clear, with medium frothy head, sets quickly. Aromas sweet malts, grains, hay, floral herbs. Palate is medium full-bodied slick, carbonation mouthful, lively soft. Taste in the middle is sweet malty, some hops and hints of dry end. Aftertaste is balanced, warming from alcohol, sweet malty and little floral herbs and tartness. Finish is short and vaguely hoppy dry. It’s a pretty decent bock for ABV, but only still average overall.

Personalmente non divento matto per questi stili classici teutonici, però ammetto che mi piace comunque berle in compagnia buona.

Bottle, Berlin.
One of the few pale bocks i’ve ever come across.
Pours not too dissimilar to the pils, bit more depth of colour and head retention.
Aroma has some stressed ferment characters but a rich pale maltiness, almost vanilla-like. These are intensifed somewhat on the body with a likeable sweetness and notes of honey and lightly toasted cereals. Finishes quite mildly, with a thick texture and moderate carbonation.
