Fruity start, and it stays fruity all the way through (Those orange melons). More fruity than the "Helles Bock" Berliner Bürgerbrau, but is not that well balanced.

It’s warm golden with a white head. The aroma has a light sweetness and notes of malt, fruit and a little nuts or almonds. The flavour has sweetness and notes of malt, toffee, fruits and almonds, It’s smooth and pleasant.

Bottle from a Berlin supermarket. Dark gold, fine carbonation. A bit sweet, full body, but rather one dimensional. Perfectly OK, but there is no hop signature here. Warming alcohol finish.

Bottle. It pours a nice, clear golden body, topped by a white to off-white head. Pleasant fruityness blending in with a malty aroma, but as most heller bocks, it is a bit boring. Sweet and fruity flavor with some faint banana, not as grainy as some heller bocks. Medium body, would like it chewier. Well, I’m not overly fond of the pale ones, I prefer the darker, heavier ones, but this one is a decent specimen. (080314)

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin beige head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet and dominated by malt.
