Bottle at Berlin Zoo. Clear, a bit pale golden beer with a white head. Grainy aroma with hops as well. Grainy and fruity flavor with a distinct bitterness. Bitter finish as well. Medium body. A bit anonymous, but with a nice bitterness, and it got the job done, it was a hot day and I was thirsty. (070805)

Bottle. A very pale and slightly golden as it pours. A creamy white 1cm thick head forms. Aroma is a touch moldy, some barn and sweet malts. Surprisingly clingy in palate, but still with an okay carbonation. Sweet flavour with some citric bitterness at the back. Competent.

50 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Light golden colour with a fizzy head. Malty aroma with a hoppy finish also in the flavour. Ends up bitter and dry, a very classic german pilsener.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Haack (101) - Hornslet, DENMARK - JUL 18, 2006
Draught. Bready aroma. Golden colour with a stable head. Citric flavour, a little watery, but not too bad. Bready aftertaste and high carbonation. I drank it in the Berlin TV tower. The view was better than the bier.!
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 sayravai (4654) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 5, 2006
(Canned, BBE 06/2007) Pale golden color with a medium, fluffy head and some lace. Mild, grassy-corny aroma with honey hints reminds me of some Swedish 3.5% pilseners. Very clean, lightly hay-hoppy, somewhat toffeeish-malty flavor with a dryish finish. Light-bodied, but not quite watery, reasonably refreshing palate with soft, foamy carbonation. A very clean, balanced and easily drinkable pils. Sadly it’s too clean to be interesting in any way - which explains the low’ish score. If you want to have a beer with which you can concentrate on something else, try this!
