Bottle from Galeria Kaufhof Berlin, September 2014. Clear golden with a white head. Dry with bread, some cardboard, citrus and yeast. Low bitterness and on the thin side. Drinkable but not that interesting.

Niestety, pite prosto z butelki, więc nie mogę ocenić wyglądu. Przeciętny aromat. Świetnie skomponowane. Goryczka idealnie łączy się z pełnym smakiem.

0,5l can. Not the best example of German pilsner. Very drinkable in 1.0l glass. Works for that!

Schnabelhund (69) - Berlin, GERMANY - JUL 31, 2014
Pours clear golden with a thin white head. The nose is rather generically hay-malty with a hint of creaminess, while the hops contribute a faint grassiness to it. The malts are grainier on the palate than in the nose; the hops are less aromatic in the mouthful, but the bitterness forms a decent backbone and stays well into the finish. Minerals are quite noticeable in the texture of this brew, and a medium carbonation dutifully does its job. There isn’t much to say about this beer, really.

Berlin standard lager with a somewhat irregular, snow white, thinnish but stable head and pale golden colour with calm sparkling, cristal clear. Weak grainy aroma, very mineral-like, bit cheesy and a faint sulphuric accent. Taste very neutral at first, almost like mineral water, vague saltiness, carbonation stronger than expected based on the quiet sparkling, thin mouthfeel, ending in a very mild hop bitterness, though it does last relatively long and reveals a faint cheesiness in the end (the first sign of ageing, I suppose). All in all a very neutral, yet decent lager, nothing wrong here, but nothing worth remembering either.

50 cl. flaske. 5,1 %. Købt på Kudamm i Netto. Det lokale bryggeri. Udmærket øl. Men også lidt tysk mainstream

DWGIB (Drunk with girfriend in Berlin); On tap at Berliner Kindl Restaurant. Pours clear golden with a creamy, moderate lasting, lacing white head. Nose is malt, yeast, light hay and spice. Taste is moderate sweet, light to moderate bitter and spicy, somewhat lasting. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Moravius (490) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAY 27, 2014
Edeka-Bier Nr. 2. - Flasche (50 cl). - Helles Goldgelb, klar. Oetker at its worst...
