Erzengel (3553) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - NOV 24, 2014
* Old rating, 0,5l-crown-top bottle, best before 02.04. Nicht so körperreich wie das Jubiläums-Pils. Es wirkt etwas einfacher, aber nicht schlechter. Trocken-herb, ok.

A very simple beer with a doubtful color appearance. But its simple taste without too many surprises makes it ok in low quantity.

Light gold color thin tight head. Smells kind of sweet tastes same with gentle bitter balance, quite clean and refreshing. You really can’t go wrong for a quid, decent!

Mainuh_man (243) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 26, 2014
0.5L bottle. Pours clear pale witha frothy white head. Herby and resiny hops dominate the aroma, with some cereal grain and burnt rubber tire. Flavor is mild sweet, but mostly herby and resiny hops. Middle-end gets some nuttiness, then finishes with a mild bitterness. Light body with a thin mouthfeel and active carbonation. Overall, pretty standard german pils. Nothing special, though nothing offensive either.

Bottle from Aldi. A typical modern german pilsner says the ratebeer description. Guess this is why noone drinks German beer any more.

Tried the bottle in Berlin this year. I think it was €0.49 cent from Edeka. I found the same bottle again in local Aldi at £1.25 a bottle. Not a bad beer really for £1.25. Typical German Pils.

500ml bottle from Aldi - pale yellow body with small head and no lace. Sweetish, slightly buttery, hoppy aroma. Quite sweet, fruity flavour - nothing special, nothing irritating. Light to medium-bodied, medium-carbonated palate. Clean and refreshing, but overall uninteresting.

Bottle. Blonde, aroma is sweet grassy. Taste is light bitter, light malty, light grassy, soft body, metallic bitter finish. Average industrial German pilsener
