2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours pale gold with a white head. Aroma of corn, grain and some grassy hops. Flavour is thin and not very bitter, has a very sugary feel to it, along with some grassy hops and light caramel. The finish is dry and reasonably crisp.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Available everywhere you turn in Berlin, our hostel was well stocked with this stuff so I can’t remember how many I downed as Berlin was baking in the Summer and this was CHEAP!
Clear, dull gold, well charged producing a persistent, rocky white head that legged well. Clean, grassy and gritty haystack nose. Dry in the mouth, clean, slightly grainy and very delicate on the palate. Not too heavily carbonated, but it bounces well. Hops show across the sides of the tongue and of course in the back, dusty, grassy and slightly herbal before a peppery, bitter swallow. No length, finishes off crisp and clean as it should. Bloody hot days called for many of these and it was a ’straight from the bottle’ quaffer after I rated it. Easy drinking stuff, can’t be too hard on it as it does its job well. Not bad (50cL, 11/06, Pegasus hostel, Berlin, Germany)

Skunky, hoppy aroma. Clear, golden coloured with not much, white head. Taste is slightly bitter, bit carbonated, hoppy. Actually... lacking taste.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled(500ml). -pale golden, medium airy head, standard pils nose, malty, chrisp and grassy, refreshing. I’m not sure if this beer is good because air temperature is 35°C or it’s really that good...

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20
50cl Bottle. Bought in Berlin. It poured a clear light gold, with a small bubbly white head. Not much of an aroma, but there were hops there somewhere. Classic German Pilsner taste- dry, mown grass taste, with a light, perhaps metallic, bitter finish. I thought this was one of the better cheap pilsners available in Berlin; thoroughly enjoyable and good session beer.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Reading "TheBeerLover"’s post, I have to agree. ASide, onto the beer. Pale Crisp pilsner. Lots of straight up pilsner taste, some malty bitterness and lots of water. Easy to wash anything down with, but unremarkable.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very pale blond colour. Thin white head. Smells of wheat. Distinct pilsener malt aroma, with just enough malt for this type of beer. Not a bad pilsener.

I enjoyed plenty of currywust when I was in Berlin. My friend is a currywurst fanatic, and every time he goes to Berlin, he gets his fix. You must try currywurst at least once if you visit Berlin, and if you do, you will need a nice cold beer to wash it down. A good choice is Berliner Kindl Pils brewed by the Berliner Kindl Brauerei AG (Oetker Group) of Berlin. This is a very popular beer in Berlin, and is a well made, very drinkable pilsner, that matches well with currywust, and makes for a good drinking beer.
Berliner Kindl Pils pours to a beautiful, bright, golden color with a bright white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is balanced with mild grassy/herbal hop aroma paired with hints of crisp pilsner malt. The palate is crisp and clean with good pilsner malt flavor on a smooth and round body. Berliner Kindl Pils finishes with more crisp malt flavor, then ends with a gentle hop bitterness that balances.
This is a well done pilsner, that is clearly brewed to appeal to a number of tastes. I would have enjoyed a bit more hop character, but I still enjoyed this one, and it really was a great beer to wash a currywurst down with. This beer can be found everywhere in Berlin, and I enjoyed an ice cold half liter can with my currywurst, at a little currywurst shack called Check Point Curry right outside the Friedrichstrasse train station.
