Bottle. Sweet tart berry aroma. Poured hazy purple with a small head. Looking at previous ratings I’m a little mystified about the color. Mine was definitely purple. Sweet, tart berry flavor. Completely shocked that I liked it. After the purple color I was anticipating something rank like Wild Blue. Light refreshing carbonated palate.

Thanks to beerbiker. Deep purple look with a white head. Synthetic black currant aroma. Suger sweet and lemon sour flavor. Wierd and worst of the 3

330ml bottle. Pours a cloudy purple, with a white head. Aroma is dominated by blackcurrants, there is some wheat, citrus and faint phenolic, spicy notes. Sweet, light body, low bitterness, lively CO2. Fruity taste, loads of blackcurrants, quite acidic, some wheat and citrus. On a hot summer’s day, ice cold - probably quite nice. On an icy December day - nah... (2011-12-11)

Beer No. 68 on my tour through Austria, Germany and Denmark.
Bottled 330ml. -found at Turkish shop with funny name Moonshine Deluxe, Tiergarten Berlin. From the bottle in front of the Moonshine. Intensive black currant in the nose. Sweet black currant taste with mild hint of beet and other berries. Pretty artificial and very sweet.

Bottle. Huge sugary/industrial mess of a nose, but does have a respectable tartness and berry tone. Oh, and gasoline. Pour is like old, dirty grape juice that had been thinned, and the taste is extremely sweet Johannisbeere. Tangy with light puckering and a sugar aftertaste. Light body but with an extremely creamy (and enjoyable!) head. Started off pretty poorly, and fails on the major points, but there’s a slight bit of redemption here and this ends up being about as good as the other two.PS Wow, check out all the additives!

Koelschtrinker (7038) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 21, 2011
Test vom 3.5.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,5,4,5,10,3 - 4,50
