green and clear, minimal white foam; "artificial" fruity aroma, some acidic notes; medium(-) sourness, lightly sweet; light body, thin feel, crisp, lively carbonation, too long sweetish finish; Overall: refreshing and that’s about it

Very intense green color with a murky appearance, foam not firm. A distinct aroma of plastic. Sour and slightly sweet, bitterness barely noticeable.

Sparkling green with green foam head. Again a straw, so next to a green beer also drinking this with a straw. Strange. Hay aroma and a taste not to be compared with anything, unique. (Berlin 201406)

33cl bottle Appearance: light hazy artificial chemical green body, light greenish whiteish head of 2 fingers. Slightly fizzy but it has a decent retention. Aroma: Very Sweet Cany/Syrupy (Woodruff ??) artificial, pudding ?. Taste: Artificial syrupy sweetness, with a light tartness in the finish thin body, slightlly below average carbonation which does fit nicely with it’s body.

Strange poison green color, with rocky green head. Quite artificial taste and aroma. Only light waldmeister notes.

Couleur verte! petite mousse blanche .

Bottle. Cloudy green with a huge bubbly white head. Aroma of woodruff syrup, flowers and mint. Sweet with dominated woodruff syrup flavors, almost cloying, Berliner weisse basis is almost unnoticeable, besides light wheaty tartness. Barely OK as a soft drink and quite awful as a beer.

Bottle in the Hotel in Berlin. Served into a bowl. With a straw with I understand is used to stir the drink. Slimey green colour, like a food colouring overdose, slightly green head. Bizarre flavour, slightly sour. Honestly can’t put my finger on it. It is refreshing, but I can imagine this is more popular with younger Berliners. It’s an improvement on an alcopop but comes nowhere near a decent sour beer with added fruit flavour from a country which borders Germany...

330ml bottle bought at Berliner Resturant in Olympian City, Tai Kok Tsui.

Cloudy hazy dayglo lime green colour with some dirt-like yeast sediments; Half finger head with soapy off-green foam which fades in 30 seconds; Moderate sticky lacing and notable slight carbonation; Sweet aroma of piney syrup, with icing sugar, light yoghurt, very light malt and light yeast; Pretty tart and mid-to-light sweet taste of light malt, with moderate yoghurt tartness, green vegetable juice, pine, yeast and lemon; Light body, watery palate; Mouth feel is thin, with B-Weisse’s yoghurt taste being equally matched by piney woodruff syrup so resulting tartness is moderately light, and so is the residual sweetness. Very light malt, yeast and lemon round up the taste. Okay… Hoppiness is no nose and only light lemon taste. No bitterness, just light tart-and-sweet lacto finish; Slightly dry after taste. Light tart and very easy to mouth.

Comments: Unlike its raspberry syrup-flavoured brother, this one has that unusual piney woodruff taste, which is actually not terrible, but the weisse’s yoghurt taste was overwhelmed and what’s left is pretty much a harmless party drink. For those who can’t stand the pure B-Weisse sourness and yet want a taste of it. I prefer the raspberry one over this.
