3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle bought at Ambrosetti in Berlin. Based on the score and multiple ’you can no longer get good Berliner Weisse in Berlin’ statements I thought this was going to be crap. Pour is hazy, thick straw yellow with a wispy foam on top. Nose is a little doughy with some definite lively tartness in back. Palate actually has a fair amount of body and is alive with astringency. Flavor is quite solid with some doughy maltiness up front followed by intense, lasting sourness. This is actually damn good. I’m no sour or Berliner Weisse aficionado but I think this has the style fairly well down, is intensely sour, and is excellent value (I think it was1.5 Euro). This will be a staple for me in Berlin. Who says you can’t get decent Berliner Weisse in Berlin?

Uklar, bleggylden. Livlig carb, men nul skum. Aroma: græs og korn. Sur, og tja... Det var vist det. Ingen nævneværdig eftersmag ud over syre. Hmmm.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not much aroma, very slight honey scent. Cloudy yellow pour. A nice amount of sour, not too overpowering. Inoffensive but unremarkable palate. I enjoyed this, not a standout but would happily drink again.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Stubby bottle, 330 ml, at home. Into a trappist glass, ABV 3%
Pale yellow colour on the body, moslty clear. One finger of white head with low retention and light lacing left around the glass.
Not much of aroma, some wheat and grains.
Very sour taste, that came as a surprise as I wasn’t expecting it to be that sour. Again wheat and grains. The sourness doesn’t last long, quite refreshing after a while.
Medium thin body, a bit low on the carbonation. Very tart on the palate.
Overall, refreshing as I said, but maybe too sour for me, I wouldn’t mind having it again though.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy golden yellow color with light, fizzy head.
Aroma is heavy on the sour citrus with some wheat and grains coming through.
It’s light-bodied, refreshing, thin texture, average carbonation, and a tart finish.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl bottle from a grocery store in Berlin. Moderate yeasty aroma, reminds me a bit of dough. Hints of fruits and malt too. Quite sour with some bitterness. Quite refreshing.

On bottle with Visionthing, thanks a lot. Golden color, good foam. Aromas of citrus; high intensity and light malt. Light body & light/ medium complexity. Good bitterness, solid sourness. A special kind of beer

Too Lemony and sour for me. I like the style generally but this one turned me off somehow.
