3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: NOV 17, 2003 33 cL bottle. I can't say I liked what I found. I thought perhaps this bottle had gone south as it was freshness dated for 4/02, but I see by the deScription that the style is exactly as I experienced. Thin head dwindles to nothing over a pale yellow beer. Spritzy, with a very sour lemonade and grapefruit taste. Sourness overcomes any malts or hop impression. It was worth it to experience the style, but this won't become one of my favorites. I have a second bottle that I'll try with a syrup (or maybe a peach schnapps or Frango liquer?).
Re-sampled, Nov. 15, '03. This time I was prepared with a bottle of raspberry flavoring syrup. Just a little splash made it nice and smooth. Though pinkish, of course, the tartness remaining gave it an edge over most raspberry beers. Probably might even be well matched with a 7-up.

3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours like straw, clear, somehow hazy, with unstable white tiny head with poor retention. Visually high carbonation, with big, fast up rising bubbles.
Aroma: tart, slightly fruity, or better lemony, with Brettanomyces character.
Flavor is lactic sour, lemony, absolutely not vinegary, with bread or wheat like note and without hop bitterness.
Body is soft, carbonation is high.
Very proper refreshing Berliner weisse. Thank You, Urban Florjančič for sharing this bottle with me!

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle - A bit hazy, pale yellow colour, medium bubbly white head. Lactic aroma, barnyard and some bready cereals. Too sharp sourness for me, it supresses any other taste. Light body, medium carbonation, dry and too sour finish. Its like you were drinking cheap white wine mixed with carbonated water. Not my style.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Horseblanket and hay with a mildly sour start. A touch of lemon and hay in the mouth. The sourness quickly fades and it ends rather quickly and dry. Very light. Initially promises something very good, but eventually fades away.

Syrlighed er nok det eneste man kan sige om denne øl. Den er speciel og det er nok en enten hade eller elske øl

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This beer is my first acquaintance with the beer type Berlinerweisse. I poured the entire contents of the bottle in a suitable glass, and has thus gained the floating yeast residues from the bottom of the bottle. The hazy light yellow beer has a very alive carbonation and it emits a fresh aroma of wheat malt and grain. Foam is poor. It is a very sour beer with a touch of lime and lemon, and is expected itself a classic German wheat beer then you are disappointed. In fact, I can find some very pleasant flavors in it, and its fresh flavor makes it equivalent to a bit with a glass of cool white wine on a hot summer day. I would like to acknowledge it, because it has some good moments.
