2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
300ml vom Fass at the café in Konzerthaus Berlin. Light, straw coloured body topped by just a filmy layer. Mild floral hops to the nose. Dry hoppy flavour in interplay with pale malts. Dry bitter endnotes. Smooth in the mouth. A standard classical German pilsner. Refreshing after Ein Deutsches Requiem (Berlin, 22.11.2009) (Rating no.2800).

Bottle 50cl. @ home.
Clear medium to dark yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, cardboard notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
An above average Pilsner in my book. It had an all around clean and crisp flavor, that, while not much in the way of complexity, was very refreshing. Very clean, dry fantastic finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught in Berlin.
Creamy and adherent head, optimal volume and good duration. Golden clearly clearly, a lot dazzling, luminous, very long bubbly. Much typical aroma and taste of the style, herbaceous bitterish to the just point level, rumors of grain and wheat. Fresh end, extended and balanced.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: OCT 23, 2009 Bottled 50cl. Appearance. It pours an extremely pale yellow beer with a tall fizzy snow-white head. Not much retention. Poor lacework. Aroma: Interesting and inviting with its hints of freshly made bread, lime, gooseberries, lychees, marzipan, papaya and hay. Nicely fruity, faintly medicinal with a good malty background. Definetely rather pleasant in my opinion. Flavor and palate: Malty with a lot of lime, gooseberries and marzipan showing up. Decent bitterness. Some sweetness. Interesting. Low carbonation. A tad medicinal and soapy. Medium bodied. Clean dry finish which is reminiscent of lemongrass and rose - the finish is absolutely fantastic! Overall impression: I enjoyed this one a lot. A top notch German Pilsener.
