0.5L bottle, from Germany (thanks to Nikko). Pours a crystal-clear golden color with a generous frothy head that settles to a thin white cap. A dry, crisp Pilsner with classic aroma and flavor notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at The Rake, London. It pours a clean golden color with small white head. Aroma is grainy and lightly sweet an grassy. Tate is crispy and medium bitter with more grains and grass. Light bodied with good carbonation. Ok

Bottle from work. Pale, light yellow, bubbly and clear, with typical pils head. Wow, I wouldn’t rate this an 18, but it’s no Jever. Pretty nice floral undertones, but a little too much boring watery metallic nothing. OK.

1)Tap on the square outside the hotel, Berlin, 01/08/15. Wan steaming gold with a departing white foam. Aroma of shrub, honey and bicarb. Crisp, bready, shrub-soft and grassy with a good bite to finish. Hint of cashew afters. Dry, hop-forward, likeable stuff. 2) Can at home. Really spiky bitter finish wrapped in bread stick malt. Even a dash of lime-like citrus. Scores the same as before.

Bottle. Holden color with a nice white head. Aroma has grain and some grassy hops. Taste is malty with quite short lightly bitter aftertaste. Flavors of grain, some grassy hops. Quite straightforward and refreshing pilsner.

Typical pilsener. Pours a clear golden color, topped with a decent white frothy head. Malty aroma with some grassy hops present, some lemony feel to it. Sweet(ish) start with grassy body and moderate hoppy bitterness. Refreshing, crisp and pleasantly drinkable.

Berliner Pilsner. As the name says, the beer has a typical pilsner appearance. Pale, light yellow, clear. Not that exiting. The smell is just pilsner. A little hoppy and a little malty. The taste is also just Pilsener. Bitter, hoppy and beery. Very nice.
