Dark lager with a fine yeast culture is an unpasteurized beer brewed from four types of malt, with a distinctive full taste and a fine bitterness. Its special flavour makes it unique on the Czech beer market. From Bernard´s family brewery portfolio this beer is the most recognized in Czech and foreign degustation competitions.

Very dark, clear, with ruby highlights and a big head. Aroma has light notes of roast, chocolate, and caramel. Taste is roasty and light, very clean, and very drinkable.

Et flot hvidt skum der holder lćnge. Ellers smager den meget fyldig kornsmag. Eftersmagen er dog en smule synketisk.

500 ml bottle. Pours dark brown color with medium to high off-white, mostly lasting head. Aroma is nutty with notes of noble hops. Texture is bordering on the watery, medium carbonation, medium to light body and a short and sweet finish. Flavour has a nice roastedness that resembles nuttyness from a good brown ale. Not particularly sweet or bitter - rather balanced and with the emphasis on quenchability.

Po przelaniu do szkła tworzy się obfita, beżowa piana, sycząca i niezbyt trwała. Barwa ciemno brązowa, dość klarowna. Aromat przypomina połączenie coli z kawą zbożową, w tle trochę karmelu i starego chmielu. W smaku słodowe, dość lekkie, jest sporo słodyczy, kawy, pumpernikla i dominującego karmelu. Lekka kwaskowość od palonych słodów w posmaku. Goryczka niska do średniej, lekko palona. Wysycenie niskie do średniego, dość wodnisty.
Ciemny lager na niezłym poziome jak na koncerniaka, dość jednowymiarowy z uwagi na wszędobylski karmel. Niezła pijalność pod warunkiem, że chłodny :)

Pours dark ruby, almost black colour with creamy beige head. Smell of roasted malts, yeast and a bit toffee. Medium body with soft carbonation and creamy texture. Bittersweet. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, caramel. Nicely smoked. Overall, smooth and nicely balanced... Maybe a bit watery, but still a good one.

Very dark blackish color. Head dissolves quickly. Taste of burned caramel, ash with hints of dried fruits. Not bad but it is quite particular and needs special occasions.

Light aroma of roasted malts. Nice deep brown pour with foamy head. Very sweet malts then some burnt toast followed by elegant bitterness. Really fine tmavy style beer. One of the best in memory. At times slightly watery, but I think it’s because I’ve been drinking too many strong ales lately. Tastes really good, will have to come back to this one again.

Cask at Charlie’s bar, Copenhagen. Near black with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, roasty notes and light overripe dark fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.
