3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JUL 3, 2013 Visuals are good, smell’s not much and the taste is watery, roast and some melon. This is drinkable but I can not find a reason to buy this yet again. Maybe when visiting some Czech’s.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 0.5. Bugel’niy cork when opening - powerful cotton! Color - dark brown, almost black. Foam cream, light brown, abundant, medium-grained, but settles too quickly. Aroma - fresh black bread, yeast, brew a sour aftertaste. Carbonation is very strong - the bubbles in the mouth play. Taste - black patent malt, burnt bitterness (not hop), chocolate, but not sweet, more cocoa beans. In light gochech aftertaste, no sweets. One of the best in its class.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml swingtop from the Coop November Discovery Beer Bag (3 of 5 - screw Kilkenny). In Canada this is bottled as Bernard Dark Lager. Little bit of tan bubbly foam on a bodacious black brew. Lots of cool toasted malt chocolate coffee aromas. Palate is light crisp and full of flavour, but very light bodied. This is sessionable (north americanese - crushable) and a killer bad boy brew. Sick, bro.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A nice dark beer pours with a completely black color and a decent dirty (light brown) head which sticks around. The aroma is surprisingly very gentle, slightly sweet and chocolately (+ some hops). The taste is therefore sweet and chocolatey almost completely without the usual roasted feel. The afterfinish kicks in late with its bitterness.
A very drinkable and easy going beer, with just enough taste.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark black though looks kinda clear when held up to the light with a small off white head that completely dissipates after a few minutes. Aroma is clean roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, and slightly nicotine like. Flavour is chocolate, coffee, fairly malty, roasted malts more dominantly and a moderate sweetness.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thisis one really special beer in comparison with czech standard black lager. Nice not very strong roasted malt taste with a bit of sweetness and hint or hops. This is a good beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: NOV 21, 2013 Sweetness and roasted malts in aroma. Dark brown appearance, head dissapears quickly. First impression - it remindes kvass. Starts with slight bitterness then changes to sweetness with bitter-sweet ending. Slight watery taste in background. Aftertaste slightly smoky bitter with hints of dark chocolate. Medium carbonation. Overall: good example of Czech dark lager.
