Cheap 500ml bottle from Prague Tesco. Pleasant dark lager. Dark bread malty with a restrained carbonation. Hints of licorice and tobacco. Slides down easy and accompanies roll mops and cheese rolls very nicely. Licorice. Chocolate. Tobacco. Smooth.

Jul 13, 2008 Bottle, bought in a Potraviny in Cesky Krumlov.
Pours deep mahogany with a medium, frothy, brownish head. Disappears relatively quickly. Aroma is lightly dry, medium roasted and light notes of berries. Medium carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is nicely roasted, light sweetness. Rather dry aftertaste. Quite nice.

Jul 12, 2008 On tap at Uncle Paya’s, Plzen, 500ml. Dark brown with cream head. Quite decent roasty aromas, chocolate and liquorice in the body with a tarry pitch type flavour, a touch of burnt flavours. Reasonable stuff.

Jul 11, 2008 From tap at Uncle Paya. Pours dark brown to black with a creamy and lacing tan head. Aroma is mild roasted malt and light liqourice note. Flavour is mild liqourice and roasted malt. smooth liqourice into the finish. Light acidic note. Mild dry and bitter.

Jul 6, 2008 Bottle from Tesco. I’m a sucker for a buy one get one free. I wasn’t impressed, seeing the high rating has encouraged me to have another go. I’ll reserve judgement till then as I hated it and found it to be metallic.

Jul 4, 2008 Tap at Uncle Paya. Alround rating: Roasted chocolate malts, theres a malty cola note, but not overpowering. Decent stuff.
