| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 2, 2008 500 ml bottle. Tall fluffy light beige head that clings to the glass. Mahogany colour with some reddish notes. Milky chocolate aromas with notes of caramel. Slightly soapy character. Roasted malt flavours. Light-bodied. Chocolate and hazelnuts. Hints of licorice in the flavour. Nicely balanced with an appropriate carbonation level and hops that are present, but not obvious, and malt flavours that are refreshing, but not at all sweet. That said, it could have been more offensive. sirPino (860), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland

Bottle brown, 500 ml, 13 P
Appearance: Pours very deep and essential dark reddish brown body colour, almost black, body carbonation is rather gentle but vivid, natural like, head is frothy, initially average slowly decreasing to small, brown in colour, there is faint lacing.
Aroma: Chockolate sweetness, burned nuts, cacao, burned sugar, hints of coffee, quite easily distinguishable of caramel, well balanced sharpness of hops with nice mild sweety fat malty body.
Flavour: Full well defined and pronounced, honest taste of burned, roasted barley grains, coffee, smokyness, gentle hoppy, floral nose, mild juicy sweetness of Plzen type malt, there is quite high accidity and kind of saltyness for the better taste, probably coming at least in part from the natural effervescence. Finish duration is long. Dessert dark chockolate, caramel, well balanced between bitterness and sweetness.
Palate: Body is full, texture is wattery to dry, carbonation on palate is mild, finish feel is lightly astringent, tangy and a bit spicy, highly bitter with aromatic flowery, floral hoppy nose. thewolf (5727), Kolding, Denmark
