Amber Lager
Bernard’s Amber Lager is a unique half-dark lager produced by an original brewing recipe of the Barnard’s Family Brewery. The light caramel-type malt endows this beer with a balanced bitter taste, fine toffee aroma, and full body. It is an unpasteurized beer enriched with yeast during bottling.

If you want to go for lager category you are bored with pale and dark is too roasty for you try semi-dark from Bernard. It is not so bitter as pale and thanks for the caramel malts it is slightly sweet. Very drinkable unpasteurized lager with addition of yeast.

Trocken.
→ Sehr leckeres Bier! 12/12/13/12

Bottle from a shop in the castle in Prague. Poured a light gusher, dark copper with a foamy off-white head. Aroma is malt with a little hop. Med body. It’s heading for a hoppy dunkel, but doesn’t get there. Pretty hoppy in the finish. Nice to drink.

Dark amber color with big consistent white head. Aroma hops and a little bit grass. Taste is well balanced combination of hops and roasted malts. I like this beer, excellent choice for refreshment.

Botella de 500ml. Copa Pokal de Bernard. Color cobre oscuro y apariencia nublada. Entrada vivaz, caramelizada y afrutada. Cuerpo medio y carbonatación moderada a moderadamente alta. Paladar sedoso. Final amargo y sensación reseca y refrescante. Australian Silver Award 2008 500ml bottle. Bernard Footed Pokal glass. Dark copper color, cloudy appearance. Off-white froth, fairly good retention. Caramel malt, biscuit, plum syrup, light baked apple aromas with anise, herbs & slight chocolate on the back. Crispy, caramelized & fruity upfront. Medium body. Moderate to moderately high carbonation. Silky palate. Dark fruit flavors, hints of caramel, clean but low bitterness, subtle spicy & light woody notes in the middle. Bitter finish & refreshing dried sensation.
