COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Amber Lager
Bernard’s Amber Lager is a unique half-dark lager produced by an original brewing recipe of the Barnard’s Family Brewery. The light caramel-type malt endows this beer with a balanced bitter taste, fine toffee aroma, and full body. It is an unpasteurized beer enriched with yeast during bottling.

Bottle. Big offwhite head, quickly disappearing. Clear amber to medium brown colour. Aroma hops, light touch of roasted malt and caramel. Taste medium roasted bitter nicely combined with somewhat light hoppiness, light caramel sweet. Finish is roasted dry light bitter. Nice beer, though nothing exceptional. Just a hint of coffee ind aroma and taste as it warms up a bit.

Beautiful dark ruby color with big lacing light brown foam head. Aroma is bit week, some light caramel. Taste also not too outspoken, resembles a German alt beer. Still OK. (Moscow 201402)

My first ever polotmavy . Can’t say this is a particularly exciting style but a hard to find one I guess. Bottle at Sir Williams ljubljana . Dark red amber body white head. Sweet malty aroma. Tate is sweet and grainy but watery finish . Some acidity and lactose on the nose .

0,5L bottle from supermarket in Kremenchuk, Ukraine. Scents of malts, ginger, some hops, some licorice. Caramel coloured body. Dark brown to amber body. Taste of hops, grains, roasted malts. Mouthfeel normal, just as a beer, well balanced and easy to drink. Aftertaste of bread, sweet malts, a mild ending. Good dark beer.

Dark amber beer with a nice, small tan head. Light roasted aroma with some caramel, light floral hop. Smooth mouthfeel with some caramel, fine, light roasted grains, some bottom yeast character. Nice balanced, roasted and dry aftertaste. It was delicious.

Draught. Dark brown with a large beige head. A strong raw grain aroma. A full mouthfeel with light roasted malt and molasses flavour. A short finish.

Bottle. Dark amber with a rather poor head. Aroma is toasted, light caramelly maltiness, nicely blended with the grassy and herbal Saaz hoppy notes, some sweet dried fruit notes and rooibos. Mild taste, toasted maltiness paving the way for a moderately strong, pleasant bitterness with notes of dried fruit. Very pleasant vienna.

??/03 A 0.5 l bottle brought from an Albert store, Prague. It poured clear reddish body with small head. Fine baked dough and caramel aroma. Flavor is mostly sweet, only slightly dry hoppy. Caramel, some mild notes of fruit and herbal hops are present. Pleasantly smooth palate, fuller in body. Nice, long finish that only reflects the flavor and ends slightly more bitterish than expected. Very nice vienna, enjoyable. Bernard didn’t fail neither this time!
