Light beer Bernard with fine yeast brings you full and delicious yeast taste. This beer is characterized by pleasant bitterness, distinct pungency, with fine hop aroma and rich foam. There can be a yeasty sediment so that the beer can be slightly cloudy the consumation.

The colour is medium gold; the liquid is a bit hazy. The white head is high and firm. Some lacing occurs. The smell is complex with quite a lot of yeast. Some sourish notes, some sweet bread-loaf-dough. And some mild bitterness too. The taste is complex: Earthy motes, yeast, minerals, and a slowly growing bitterness that is delicate and balanced. The aftertaste got even more of those yeasty/earthy flavours with a distinct hint of butter in the finish. The carbonation is a little milder than most Czech pilseners, and the liquid is a little thick. I can understand if some drinkers experiences this unfiltered variation of the pale Bernard pilsner as "unclean" or perhaps even "skunky" but I thought it was a very interesting and elegant beer.

The standard Bernard beers are good, but the unfiltered just has the edge. Dry and grassy, fair carbonation, all undercut by a slight bready sweetness that could be off-putting but works really well to round the flavours out.

Malty aroma with "skunk" and some iron when sniffed from bottle. After pouring to glass negative aromas are weaker but still perceptible. Gold colour, foam disappears quickly. Malty taste with a bit of herbs behind. Highly carbonated. Medium bitterness. Malty aftertaste. Pretty common lager with some issues.

bottle What a difference one degree makes! The eleven degree version of this is somewhat better...this ten degree version is just a bit...bland. Aroma is faint, a bit yeasty. No lacing to speak of, typical of this kind of "light" beer by Czech standards. Only just a bit better than mass market beers of the same type in the Czech market.

Bottle - Clear yellow colour, medium bubbly white head, average retention. Grainy and yeasty aromas with flowery and grassy hops. Taste is sweet grainy, some bread, cereals, honey, distinct grassy hop bitterness. Light, crisp body, average carbonation, dry finish with lingering bitterness. Nice easy drinking czech lager, simple but very good.

Butelka, kupiona w Czechach. Ciemnozłoty kolor. Piana gęsta, długo się utrzymuje, lekko żółta miejscami. Goryczka delikatna. Dobry na upał, nieźle chłodzi.

Bottle, 4.2%. Mild citric aroma, hint of floral hops. Clear pale golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is mild bordering on thin. It does have a bit of malt but also a faint citric note along the lines of a beginning infection.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops, with notes of malt and citric touches. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sourish notes and estery touches. Bitter aftertaste with notes of paper. Not very clean. Drinkable but uninspiring.
