Bottle. (As Bernard Lager) A golden beer with good carbonation and a small white head. The aroma has some quite evident DMS initially, replaced by grassy hops and malts giving a little biscuit touch. Quite effervescent in the mouth with grassy and slightly piney hops, malt with a grainy accent and a bitterness coming towards the finish. Quite sweet too. Not an impressing beer, but far more interesting than most pilsners available in Norway. (081214)

500 ml bottle from Rema 1000 grocery store as Bernard Lager. Coarse near-white head. Crystal clear, pure golden colored body. Noble hops and crisp malts in the aroma. A fine and rounded malt flavor, appropriate sweet with notes of butterscotch. Easy hopbitterness. Slim body. Soft mouthfeel. An elegant and moreish Pilsener.
