Pours coppery and cloudy with a white creamy head. Smells of citrus, roses and crass. Taste is both bitter and sugary with a peppery finish.

Metallic and floral saaz hop aroma.
Golden, creamy head.
Surprisingly full hayish body, soft mouthfeel, slightly tinny but otherwise approproate hop balance.
Subtle aromatic exit.
Why can’t all lower abv lagers be like this?

(Bottle at Ferdinand, Göteborg, Sweden) Golden with a white head. Nice aroma with some malts but even more hops. Creamy and with some grass. Hoppy floral flavor with some citrus notes.

(Bottle 50 cl) Comes as "Bernard Svetlé pivo" - gee, yet another Bernard variety. Pale golden, decent head. Quite typical light pilsener: rather watery, some hops - and that’s about it. Drinkable.

Off white head (!). Aroma of a brilliant vacum cleaner’s bag. Fresh maltiness though a bit harsh. Dry aftertaste.

Bottled. Mild saaz-hops aroma. Rather bland, slightly sweet, mildly hoppy. A bit watery in the finish. A disappointment, as I had expected more from Bernard.

Tap in Pilsen. Quite light and bland, but enough flavour to make it OK, light saaz, and some bitterness. Some peachy sort of fruit, light and soft, and pleasant.

From tap in Ceske Krumlov. Clear golden colour with nice big head. Aroma was malty, and the flavor had this nice refreshing taste of good hops.

A pleasant lager and really good for this less alcohol type. Head is unstable, clear golden colour. Malty, light sweet, some acid and a dry, slightly bitter finish. Not spectacular, but a really pleasant beer.

A superb drinking lager. Full bodied and malty with almost crunchy malt grain flavour and a classic bitter hop finish. Great brew and a good advert for non pasteurisation. (Draught at Pizza Rugantino, Praha)
