Draft at Soldaten Svejk - Clear golden color with a large frothy head. Aroma is malty with bready notes and hints of straw. Flavor is malty with hints of caramel and hops. Pretty ok medium to light bodied, just nothing special.

judasbeer (431) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 18, 2009
Bottled with green label. Clear golden, with average, frothy head. Fresh floral hoppy aroma with subtle butter and yeasty feel. Well-rounded mouthfeel with crisp grassy hops, gentle, sweet malts and distinct dry, floral, slightly peppery finish. Tasty, classic Bohemian Pilsner.

larsga (6146) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 18, 2009
Medium white head. Copper body with light carbonation. Fruity mealy resiny aroma with caramelly straw notes. Dry-sweetish resiny caramel taste with grassy notes. Sharpish mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dry resiny grassy aftertaste with papery notes. Quite nice. Liked it more in the Czech Republic, though. Lovely, grassy hoppy bitterness lingers. (0.5l bottle, Rema 1000.)

Bottle from REMA 1000 in Oslo. Decent price/quality ratio, nice to have this from a discount chain. Lovely golden beer, light bodied, but it has both malt and hops. Bitterness in the finish, I’ll have this with food like cured meat. Let’s hope they keep this as a regular beer.

Rune (7777) - Tromsř, NORWAY - FEB 23, 2009
500ml bottle, as Bernard Lager, from a Rema 1000 store in Tromsř. Clear, light amber body. Low, white head. Fresh smell of caramel malts. Plain and smooth malty flavour with a decent bitter ending. Clean mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Very food friendly (with chicken salad) (shared with Eva, Tromsř 22.02.2009).

Bottle 0,5l. A non-pasteurized pilsner! Golden colored. An OK creamy head. Hoppy metallic aroma. Varied flavor of hops and some fruit. Even a dry bitterness in the lasting aftertaste. A very good pilsener! Surprised to find this in Rema 1000. KI=6

Bottle green, 500 ml, 11 P
Appearance: Pours full golden, beautiful, quite clear body, carbonation of the body is natural like, very gentle, soft, head is initially small but quite stable, foamy to frothy, not prominant, white in colour, no lacing and quite quickly disappearing.
Aroma: Front is considerably fat malty, nicely pronounced barley background, grains, fresh and crisp, very clean, no dullness, good quality Zatec hoppy profile, chalk, graphite, citrusy hoppyness, mainly lime, grapefruit, herbal bitterness, very positive, inviting.
Flavour: Front is dry, pure and clean, no additional sugar, very nice fat malty base, barley grains, strong hoppyness binding the tongue, quite sharp in terms of bitterness, refreshing crisp, clean, easy going, assertive Zatec hops, classic version of Bohemian Pilsener, very nicely practically extremely pronounced maltyness and accompaining hoppyness.
Palate: Body is medium, texture is dry, carbonation on palate is soft to medium, finish feel is strongly essencially bitter, salty, well ballanced, really good stuff taking into consideration being my favourite style.
