3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Marko (3112) - Split, - JUL 1, 2008
From a PET bottle shared out by someone in the bus (thanks whoever you were!) Probably a bit too warm for a fair rating.... Poured a unfiltered darker brown body with an off white head. A roasty, slightly stale nose of coffee. Ok. A light, roasty taste with some nice maltiness, caramel and background hop. A passable dunkel with a damn nice label.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 gunnar (2634) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAR 19, 2010
On tap @ the brewpub. Pours black like a Coke, with a big off-white head. Caramelly aroma. Taste is full of sweet creme brule, too much for my likings.
Almost no bitterness to balance it, makes it difficult to appreciate.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JAN 28, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. Weak caramelly aroma. Almost black colour. Nice stable light brown head. Good roasted flavour. A hint of roasted barley. Some caramel. Quite subtle, but good. The mouthfeel is slightly thin, but that is OK for the style, I think. A Schwarzbier in my book.

[bottle]
Apple, ethanol, and nuts in the aroma. Murky brown-black with a tan ring. Nice, toasty-roasty biscuit flavour with good hops bitterness that makes it crisp and clean. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, bitter lasts for a bit.
