2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Keg at the Brewpub in Beroun Day 4 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 2/10/14. Aroma is big blue cheese and cured meats, roast and dung, earthy. Clear mahogany brown / ruby red coloured pour with a fleeting cream head. Flavour is tangy earthy dirt, straw, harsh roast, cow pat. Autolysis maybe? Palate is tangy, medium body, moderate varbonation. Somewhat infected.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From a PET bottle shared out by someone in the bus (thanks whoever you were!)
Probably a bit too warm for a fair rating.... Poured a unfiltered darker brown body with an off white head. A roasty, slightly stale nose of coffee. Ok. A light, roasty taste with some nice maltiness, caramel and background hop. A passable dunkel with a damn nice label.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled from plastic bottle.
Cloudy dark brown colour. Licorice and rubber in aroma. Medium bodied with light syrupy sweetness. Dark malts are luckily there, with licorice and chocolate, along with dash of rubber. Longlasting flavour. Too sweet for some, but I like.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap Hostinec Richtar Jakub. Aroma blue cheese, caramel, roasted. Taste light cheesy, almost medium fruity caramel sweet, medium roasty bitter, chewy coffee. Nice full finish. Probably best from this brewery I had so far.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Apple, ethanol, and nuts in the aroma. Murky brown-black with a tan ring. Nice, toasty-roasty biscuit flavour with good hops bitterness that makes it crisp and clean. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, bitter lasts for a bit.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Unfiltered tmave, served at the brewery by a coal-smeared dude with bikie beard and gumboots on. Dark-brown-black with a creamy light brown head. Very roasted, bitter and coffeeish, without the sticky caramel sweetness that you often get in tmaves, and with heaps of full flowery hops in the aroma and aftertaste. Coffee and a bit of banana show up in the aroma too. Very clean, smooth, and light textured, but still packed with flavour. Nice to drink on the verandah with a view of rusty decaying machinery.
