2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 gunnar (3586) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAR 19, 2010
On tap @ the brewpub. Pours black like a Coke, with a big off-white head. Caramelly aroma. Taste is full of sweet creme brule, too much for my likings.
Almost no bitterness to balance it, makes it difficult to appreciate.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 omhper (17466) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 3, 2008
PET bottle. Very dark brown, small but firm head. Light coffee aroma, Sweet and very caramelly with some molasses. More full fodied than expected from a 13° with plenty of buttery rounded malt. Almost no bitterness. The molasses in combination with excessive sweetness gets a bit much.
