Draft. Rich mahogony beer with a dark cream head. Light toffee and rich dark fruit aroma. Rich dark fruit flavor with caramel/toffee. Medium-plus bodied. Caramel/toffee and dark fruit lingers with light coffee and light earthiness.

Cask at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark black with a large beige head. The armoa is monstrously coffee. Smooth, mellow and soft. The coffee is not so dominant as it was in the aroma - thereís a little chocolate and malt is detectable. In the finish itís bitter, but smooth, coffee all the way. Quite an experience.

8 ounce sample on cask at The Davis Beer Shoppe. The aroma on this has some crazy, super coffee character. Very intense. Reminds me a lot of the earlier versions of Dieu du Ciel Peche Mortel, and thatís not a bad thing. Not much else going on here other than the coffee. Mostly opaque black body with a frothy, rapidly dissipating light tan head. Starts a little thin, but becomes super coffee-like in the middle. Some residual sugary chocolate character comes through as well. A little thin, and I actually think this would be better if on CO2 instead. This beer has totally changed since I last had it about 3 months ago. The extra coffee aging has really affected this beer in a good way. If you like chocolate-covered Espresso beans, then you will love this.
