On tap at Bistro DIPA Fest. Hazy orange in color with a small white head. Big citrusy aroma with orange and grapefruit and some malty sweetness. The flavor has a sweet malt base with orange juice, grapefruit rind, and herbal notes. Mildly acrid on the mouthfeel with medium-full body and good hop resins. A solid DIPA but didn’t really stand out at the Fest.

15 ounce sample on tap at Preserve in Winters, CA. Intensely hoppy aroma with a good deal of citrus orangey character. Some mango and passionfruit are also in there. I don’t get much onion aroma, which is what I initially remember about the aroma of this beer when I first had it a couple months ago. Super quaffable. Moderately hazy, unfiltered orangey body with a smallish, quickly dissipating whitish head. Starts with lots of citrus orange hops, before this becomes very resinous with some onion flavors in the middle. Intensely bitter and super grapefruity towards the finish. Light mango, but definitely super harsh with the bitterness. Would prefer more balance.

From a growler. This IIPA pours a hazy golden orange with a small sized white head and minimal lacing. Like many growlers I think some carbonation was gone. The nose shows citrus and tropical fruit. Medium in body and slick in mouthfeel. Flavor is potent, with a lot of malts and hops, dominated by citrus and pine. The finish is dry and nicely bitter. Decently crafted and good drinking Imperial IPA.

This was a seceret beer when i was at the davis bottle shop on vacation. I thought it was gubna because it had a huge onion like nose to it. Pretty easy drinking DIPA, wish i could get it in Arizona.

Tasted on tap at the 12th Bistro Double IPA Festival on 2/11/2011. This Imperial IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, caramel and citrusy. A medium bodied Imperial IPA. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and slightly piney and herbal. Decent carbonation. A Medium bitter IPA with some residual sweetness. A touch of mild bitterness throughout the beer. Some tropical flavors. Easy drinking Imperial IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Very good. I like it. overall was quite excited by this one. With the wet hop I was ready for the yummy funkyness of the hops. Great stuff. Good mouthfeel and loved it. IBUs were right on. Try it

Tap at Sacramento Brewers Showcase. Pours dishwater amber with beige bubbles. Aroma is very strong floral/stone fruit. Med body. Flavor is bitter floral/citrus/stone fruit. This is way over the top!!!!
