Consumed at the Eat Real Festival in Oakland. It pours yellow with a thick white head. The aroma has dusty yeast, pepper and light tangerine. The flavor is dry, spicy and light notes of orange. The finish is a bit chalky with a lot of spice. Decent.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Church Key, SF. This one is a pale, hazy orange shade with a finger’s worth of white head. Decent citrussy tones with yeasty spice. Refreshing but lacks the complexity that would take it into a higher tier.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Half pint on tap at the tasting room. The aroma is full of Belgian banana yeast esters. Light underlying sweetness, and nicely aromatic. Mostly hazy yellow-golden body with a creamy, white head. Starts a little metallic and a bit spicy. Some moderate banana yeast esters come through in the middle. with some cereal character. Finishes with a nice, herbal, spicy hop kick. Really refreshing, and a good saison, especially for a style I don’t particularly care for.
