Part of the sampler from the brewery just outside of Winters. Pours a brown color with a hint of toffee aroma. Just not much to this one. Easy to drink, but just not much complexity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Surprisingly Nice roasted malt character and smoothness for such a small beer. Not much else there, but pleasant enough for the style.

Sampled at GABF 2014. Pours a deep amber mahogany body with light white head. Aroma is soft grains, vague fruits and a light malty character. Mouthfeel is lightly bitter with notes of lemon, grains, malt and finishing with a nutty character.

On draft at The Olde Depot. It pours a really attractive brownish ruby red color with a khaki head. The aroma is dry and toasty with hints of dark plum, cocoa and coffee. The flavor is light with some more dark plum notes, yet not sweet. Mostly dry toast and a hint of roasted malt. Lower carbonation is true to the style. Really well made.

On tap at capitol beer and taproom. Pours darker copper/ruby. Taste is roasted malts but has a sweet finish. Like a light stout.

Toronado. Pours a cloudy reddish brown. Little off white head. Kinda foamy but I got a very full pour. Aroma is sorta weak. Mostly just a light caramel malt tone. Needs more spice and general oomph. Taste is mildly sweet. It actually tastes a lot like an okay mild and probably would be better on cask (at the time, I had it confused with Upright Whippersnapper, which is a rye beer). Nice fresh grain note with some toasty highlights. Feel is relatively gentle. Low carbonation. Nice enough finish. This is a pretty nice beer, but I donít get much rye character (again, confusion) and Iíd love to find it on hand pump.

On tap at red rabbit for beer week. Aroma is very mild, maybe Nobel hops. Flavor is also mild, I keep thinking iced tea. Nobel hop flavors. Pretty good.

15 ounce pour on tap at Preserve in Winters. Light cocoa and light sweet nutty maltiness present in the nose. Some caramel also peaks through. Amazing aroma for a mild ale. Transparent garnet-amber body with a fizzy nitrogenated khaki head that is strong and long-lasting, as expected. Starts with a nice chocolate and caramel sweetness. Becomes a little nutty in the middle, before this finishes with a very mild toastiness. This beer is packed with flavor, for being such a small beer. Nitro creates an amazingly velvety body, making an insanely great session beer!
