Medium amber color. Malts overtake the aroma from the hops. A wheaty flavor comes through. Light and hoppy on the palate from this medium bodied beer. Needs more rounding.

Had this beer in 12/5/2001. Aroma is a fresh hoppy scent. Color is a nice golden brown with good carbonation and a nice head. Taste is hoppy, mild and smooth. Starting with a easy medium body it goes down smooth with a nice hop flavor coming out. Finish is mild with a creamy malt flavor with fresh hops and a slight bitterness. Overall I feel it is a good drinking beer but just not fresh and crisp enough for a Spring brew.

From a 12 oz. stubby brown bottle with a blurb about the ale on the back label and no freshness date. Made a good appearance, poured a semi-hazy amberish copper with a foamy off-white goldenish head that reduced to a thin, bubbly lacing. Had a caramel malty aroma with whiffs of citrus/fruity hops and a bready yeastiness. Good carbonation and a slick light to medium bodied mouth feel, good drinkability. Had a big citrus fruity hop taste, a mellow bitterness, with a underlining sweet bready maltiness and a crisp soft sour finish. A decent Amber Ale from Grant’s, not their best hop-upped ale, but very drinkable.

Bottle: Aroma is bready with moderate cookie maltiness and a touch of flowery hops. Pours a transparent amber with a yellowish off-white head that diminishes quickly. Toffee flavors up front are instantly dominated by a sour and nutty hop finish Not what I was expecting in an APA.

got this in a trade and cannot remember who sent it. thanks any way. from the bottle , poured a copper ambe with off white head. aroma malts and hops, caramel, hints of grapefruit. flavor, malts, caramel, some toffee, floral hops, a little on the watery side but not to bad.

Not really sure what this one’s trying to be, but it does not possess the qualities of an amber ale; not that that is a bad thing. Pours an almost brown color with a decent heda. Smells citrussy with some grapefruit undertones. Finishes floral with some wildflower like qualities and some tastes I cannot quite place.

Started a beautiful cauldron or rusty orange, fomenting into a solid overcast of head. Interesting aroma, almost pepperoni-like. Quite metallic tone on the palate (is the anvil IN the beer?), a sweet and sour hop-malt balance and a spicy little finish. Pretty good ...

An excelent head on this one, with a nice amber color. Good hop nose and taste. Caramel malts and barley come into play wuickly. There is a playoff between the sweetness of the caramel and the sour of the hops, which makes for a very good beer.
