COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A generous hit of Yakima’s Cascade hops adds bounce and intensity to to Grant’s HefeWeisen. Bert brewed it to meet a very demanding taste: his own. The Hefe has a light floral character with hints of butter, clove and spice.

One of the worst hefe’s I’ve ever had. Looks nice in the glass with an intriging aroma, however, this is not indicative of taste.

This was probably a better beer at one time. Since it is retired, and does not cellar well, the one I had no doubt had lost something. Not to skunky point, but just not real appealing. But, you go with what you have. Aroma was wheat, but not much more was evident. Color was the proper golden, but not hazy, and little head or lacing. Flavor okay, and finish was mild. An okay beer at that stage, but not much else.

Pours a hazy golden yellow. Aromas of bread/grains/ and some floral. Had a taste of yeasty grains with some spice and clove.

Pretty decent head, poured into hefe glass. Crisp, not to distinct. Not much in the way of esters, too bad. Reasonable carbonation.

(12 oz bottle: Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) Perhaps one of the least flavorful wheat beers ever made, this one is a bit unusual because it seems less sweet than most. Otherwise, it has a weak wheat flavor, some mild cardboard, and very little hops, and frankly, the cardboard seems to be the dominant flavor. Cardboard and a touch of wheat in the nose. Light bodied, watery and pretty gentle carbonation, so this beer just kind of comes and goes without even saying goodbye. Then again, that’s probably a good thing since the flavor isn’t all that pleasant to begin with. The light golden and hazy body is capped by a small white head that quickly fades to a small ring. A very forgettable beer, but hopefully I’ll remember to not buy this again.

Poured somewhat hazy but still easily seen through yellow gold color. Head was small and fizzy. The nose had trace of lemon and grained wheat. Flavor wasn’t as bad as i was expecting but definitely needed a lemon slice bad. Okay for a very damn hot summers day but i kind of wish i had bought something else.

Cloudy and gold in texture with a smallish white head. Notes of lemons and bubblegum can be loosely detected in the nose. Taste is tangy with some decent lemony notes, but otherwise watery and unpronounced. Tingly banana notes on the tongue. Average but very drinkable.

Hazy orange yellow gold color. Small sized creamy head. Lemon and muted wheat in the aroma. Grainy, watery taste, with brief notes of lemon, wheat, and a sour yeasty character which dominates the finish. Mouthfeel is light.

Poured a hazy golden/orange with a finger of head dissapates fairly quickly to a creamy froth. The nose was of lemon and lightl malt tones. The taste starts with a bright, yet surprisingly restrained hop note then gives way to a subtle wheat and pale malt backbone There’s an adunct character in the end, but finishes with light and flavorful grains with mild bittering hops. Close your eyes and this would be a good American pilsener. As a hefe-weizen, however, it is unrecognizable. This is nothing special.
