In fact, it has been proclaimed as "the only properly hopped beer in America".

I find it hard to believe they call this an India Pale Ale. I wouldn't even call it a Pale Ale. THEY FORGOT THE HOPS!!! There was very little hop bitterness. Definitely not my idea of an IPA and definitely not a beer I would try again. While it wasn't repulsive, it was deceptive. I expected an IPA and got ripped off! Never again!

Got this from the bargain bin at Sun Devil, probably because it’s retired. I have no idea how old it was, but it didn’t taste old. Golden pour with a bit of a foamy white head. Very light hop aroma, and a touch of malt. Similar very light flavor. Somewhat thin on the palate. A disappointing IPA.

Had this beer on 5/13/1998. Color is a bright gold, carbonation is somewhat low as well as the head. A light sour malt smell can be detected off the top of the glass. Taste is crisp and bitter, starting off with a light body then goes down crisp and prickly. The finish is very bitter with only the slightest touch of hop flavor, but there is something there that I don’t think should be and that is a sour taste similar to a White. It would be better if it had more body, hop flavor and no sour taste.

Bottled. Yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is big fruity aroma with some hints of wood and vanilla. Flavour is mainly hoppy along with some caramel. Quite watery IPA in my opinion.

Bottled. Pale golden, average head. Evident perfumy grapefruit aroma. Sweet with notes of vanilla and paper, overpowered by grapefruit. Medium bodied and fairly light bodied. Medium bitterness. A light, rather well balanced ale.
