Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 23, 2006 An unclear orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of mandarin, while the flavor is sweet and very carbonated with notes of wheat and mandarin. Reminds me of a mandarin sodapop, both because of the flavor and the high carbonisation level. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 21, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a hazy pilsener golden with basically no head. Lightly fruity aroma. Light-bodied - almost watery. Distinct mandarin aroma albeit rather artificial. Dry finish. More extraordinary than really well made. 200606 argo0 (6334), Washington DC, USA May 25, 2004 Opaque golden topped by small white head and filled with many bubbles. Aroma is sweet mandarin orange, some wheat. Taste is mild sweet, even a bit sour, orange, lemon, wheat. Light body with minimal crispness. I suppose it achieves what it set out to do, but the combination doesn’t work for me. kp (6300), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 01/01/2004
orange dries out after a while loosing some of the sweetness but keeping the orange flavor, an improvment, but still weird
