A Hefeweizen brewed in the American style with a refreshing kick. This easy drinking Hef is a lighter style American Hef with an added touch, the touch of orange. An unclear orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of mandarin, while the flavor is sweet and very carbonated with notes of wheat and mandarin. Reminds me of a mandarin sodapop, both because of the flavor and the high carbonisation level.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a hazy pilsener golden with basically no head. Lightly fruity aroma. Light-bodied - almost watery. Distinct mandarin aroma albeit rather artificial. Dry finish. More extraordinary than really well made. 200606

Opaque golden topped by small white head and filled with many bubbles. Aroma is sweet mandarin orange, some wheat. Taste is mild sweet, even a bit sour, orange, lemon, wheat. Light body with minimal crispness. I suppose it achieves what it set out to do, but the combination doesn’t work for me.

hazy dark yellow, whispy fine white head, light sweet orange aroma, light malt flavor with lots of orange sweetness like an oranqe soda, touch of bitterness in the finish
-------- /> Date: 06/01/2005

orange dries out after a while loosing some of the sweetness but keeping the orange flavor, an improvment, but still weird

Bottle. Poured with a small white head that diminshed quickly over a light amber color. Aroma was moderate hops with a citrus tone. The flavor was a light sweet with a short light sweet finish. Brewed as a light beer alternative.

Poured a medium and clear golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas and tastes of light oranges, some spices and maybe some wheat in there. Lightly sour with some malts. Thinner and lighter body.

Light clear orange, looks like it was mixed with half water. Smells like big time oranges but not anything else. Thin, taste is a pale orange and lemon wheat, sour and bland like plastic in the finish. Fun idea but not very good.

Pours slightly hazy amber/orangush, with some malt and orange aroma. Tastes like watered down orangeade with a tiny bit of malt smoothness. This one was a big disappointment for me.

Bottle. This was on my list of beers I was very curious to try, and was pretty dissappointed with. Light pastel orange body with a small white head. Bizarre aroma. Kind of a sweet orange in a sweat sock aroma. Touch of sweet orange fruit candy. Flavour is sweet and tart, touch of Vicks Orange Vitamin C drops over... something. Touch of jujubes, and a funky strange not unpleasant but sort of messed up finish. Average palate. The highlight was the suddent synapse connection that the quality I was getting out of this was very much the artificial flavour and aroma of orange fruit loops. Very glad to try it, won’t be buying it again. Interesting beer.
