3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JPDIPSO (4957) - Wauwatosa, USA - SEP 29, 2003
Chalky golden color with a light yellow/white head. Sure enough, a orange gelatin aroma with only a hint of malt. Initial orange flavor (More of a candy type flavor) followed by a decent wheat and malt undertone. While I'm not a big fan of this (I'm not a mandarin orange lover), this would be an excellent brew to serve with a salad.

One of my favorite summertime beers of all time. Orange tint and mandarin orange flavor. I was sad to see this one go. Rated 7/4/04
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 RSRIZZO (1679) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - DEC 2, 2007
Had this beer on 8/11/2004. Aroma is not that impressive, with only a faint citrus scent. Color is a hazy bright gold with very good carbonation and a thin little head. Taste is light and clean. Starting with a light body it goes down with a fizzy feel. Finish comes in with a very light malt flavor backed by a faint citrus taste and ends with a little bitter bite. Overall it’s just not a Hefey. It is a refreshing summer brew but it lacks flavor, there is almost no mandarin and none of that rich sweet, yeasty flavor in a good Hefey.

12 oz. bottle via trade with IrishBoy - Pours a hazy golden color with a 3/4 finger thick white head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is light wheat malt and citrus. Flavor is lightly sweetened malt with a tad bit of orange. Light body. A decent beer. Thanks Richard.

orange dries out after a while loosing some of the sweetness but keeping the orange flavor, an improvment, but still weird

it was’nt a bad beer. description says it all. orangey and not overbearing. sweetish i used to get it cheap from the defunct shop rite in leonia nj. they had some great micro brews. the beer had moderate carbonation and really was not too wheaty in consistancy.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 IrishBoy (3334) - Bakersfield, California, USA - JUL 23, 2007
Bottle from Country Club Liquors; Nose of wheat and oranges; yellow-orange with a small yellowish head; flavor of whaet and light oranges, but no sweetness. Might have been really flavorful if it wasn’t an old bottle I found in the back of my beerstores fridge. Night light fuit taste even if some of the esters have disappeared.
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 mlist55 (210) - media, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 23, 2007
Gold bodied with a short-lived head. The aroma is sweet Mandarin oranges and garden flowers. The oranges become almost syrupy sweet in the flavor, although the wheat finally shows up in the background.
1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 nick76 (3583) - Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 8, 2006
UPDATED: DEC 11, 2006 The aroma has mandarin oranges and malt. The appearance is hazy gold with a thin head. The flavor is flat. I can hardly taste the citrus. It basically tastes like stale malt and lightly bitter hops. The palate is thin and almost without carbonation. I can tell the age has gotten to this beer. I wish I could have tried this when it was fresh. Now it’s just lifeless....blah.
