Born to create a fine lager: When your name is Berthold ’Beer’ Keller, it seems inevitable that you become a master brewer. Berthold was born in Bavaria and brought up in Belgium. He has a truly continental approach to brewing. Fusing styles he created this premium crisp, smooth lager with a rounded continental finish.

I know how to make a "premium" euro-lager now. You take a normal skanky corn-oil euro lager and water it down a bit. Less offensive = "premium". There you have it. On a kinder note, because of its blandness, I could knock back half a dozen of these if I had to.

Nice dark amber color, frothy spotty head. Smells just like a premium lager should. Tastes are weak with a very bitter punch at the finish. Just ok IMO

Golden colour with big white head that disapates quickly. Sweet bubblegum aroma. Very bland. Can from Countdown, $3 special :(

Can from Euro Shop, Wolverhampton. Pours fine, looks fine, doesn’t smell too bad. Taste however is the most absent I have ever encountered. CANNOT believe this is 5% - it tastes like condensed air. Slight bitter tears on finish - but that is basically all you’re getting out of this experience. May be the worst beer I’ve ever had, and that is some crumb of comfort to cling onto.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2012 Smells a little hoppy, a little skunky. Shitty palate, shitty aftertaste. Shitty blond lager. Avoid at all costs.

Golden-yellow in colour with a thin white head, very little lacing. Aroma is grainy, some corn and metal, cereal, smoky donuts. Flavour is thin and metallic, lots of corn and cereal, a freaking farmers field this is. Corn water mouthfeel, light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes dirty, corny.

This is from Belgium?? This made my teeth hurt, enough said.

500ml can purchased at the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario.
Opened on May 7, 2010.
Best before December 11, 2010.

Canned sample. Gold in colour with strong carbonation. Aromas are of mild grassy (Saaz-like?) hops, chalk, and pilsner malt. Faint flavours are of bone dry pilsner malt and salt. Very light bodied. Smelled ok, but dry to the point of tasting of and having the mouthfeel of nothing. Bland.

500ml can from LCBO. Nothing special here. Crystal clear golden colour with medium white head. Mild. Pretty tasteless in fact. Skip this one.

Silver can from that place in Whitestone that used to be a garage, then a chippy, then a Netto. Bright gold beer with a skim of froth. Bit of a wet dog aroma; caramel hints, boiled sweets, rubber, Madeira cake- strong lager. Palate has Rice Crispies, cereal, hints of boiled vegetable petering into a vapid, wet air finish. No aftertaste. The kind of lager that gives lager a bad name; I might grudgingly sink a few frosted mugs of it by the pool in Greece or Turkey, but not here, not tonight. It’s not actively offensive just very, very watery. May tip out of boredom.
