COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

My most recent discovery! It’s a refreshing triple with a lot of flavour perfect for a hot summer evening. Not too much alcohol-flavor so it’s dangerous to drink too much of them. If you have 2 glasses and company, share a bottle!

(50 cl bottle from Carrefour Express in Galeries Ravenstein; BBD: February 3rd 2017) Pours a hazy golden with one finger, white head that subsides leaving a decent amount of film and plenty of lace. Aroma is strangely dominated by a note of salami sausage with hints of coriander. Watery texture, medium body, soft carbonation and a slightly sweet finish. Different from what I’m used to in a tripel.

500ml bottle served in an ordinary glass. Pours a golden yellow color forming a medium to small low persistent white head. Lots of thin lingering lacings formed and left. Sweet notes of sweet pale malts in the nose. Strong notes of honey. A bit spicy. Wheat. Fruity phenols: plums and apricots. Bubblegum hints. Flowery hops. Sweet upfront in the mouth too. Sweet bread. Plums and apricots. Light grassy hops bitterness. Candi sugar. Bubblegum. Heavy molasses body. Low carbonation. Sweet malts in the aftertaste. Not very persistent. Medium drinkability. No big deal for a Belgian Tripel.

Bottle, brought back from Belgium by Lakshmi. Deepish amber colour, good carbonation and white head. Quite a heavy and malty tripel, boozy, apricot, sweetish. Quite heavy esters, pear drops. Pleasant; my preference is for a drier beer in this style but this was nice enough.

Bottle of 50cl (great), in a pint glass: from the fridge. Nice blond beer with a strong taste. So, we’re in front of a blond beer with a deep gold/amber colour, with a nice aroma of hop and barley. The taste is strong, overhelmed by the malt (bread/caramel). Palate is great, but not unforgettable. Try it !

Robe blonde, reflets dorés, mousse peu persistante.

Body is gemiddeld. Te zoet naar mijn mening
