On draught at the brewpub restraunt in Salmon, Idaho. Pours a clear reddish amber brew with a thick and slow dissolving off-white head that leaves behind an excellent lacing and ring. Aroma of roasted nutty caramel malt, some flowery hops with a touch of sweet syrup and molasses. Taste is very light carbonation, medium body and a toasted multi-grain biscuit with clover honey. Finish is slightly sweet, smooth the a buscuit aftertaste and then a clean taste after the finish. One of the better brown ales during the Summer 07 trip.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 drismyhero (815) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - JAN 3, 2003
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2003 I don"t foresee many people rating this, or even reading this rating, so I could pretty much say whatever I wanted to. Well, I"ll be honest, this was bizarre. I mean, I have never encountered a beer that actually made me pucker, especially not a brown ale. This was SOUR. Probably something was out of the ordinary, but I was salivating as though I was sucking a lemon drop. What the hell is this stuff? Other than that there were some pleasant things...but I can"t really remember amidst all the sour confusion. Oh well.
