COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Loads of hops were traditionally used in this type to preserve the beer as it was shipped by sea from Britain to India. Our "Savage" brew lives up to expectations.

Dark amber/copper with a tannish head and sheet lacing. Some hoppy nose as the pale, but more intense in the bitter department. Balance between the hops and malts. Same hops as the last two beers. Tingly and sweet.

Pours a nice deep amber color. Aromas of citrus. Strong hop flavors with malts and a dry finish.

On draught at the brewpub restraunt in Salmon, Idaho. Pours a slight hazy reddish amber brew with a thick and heavy off-white head that has excellent retention. Aroma of citrus peel, some orange zest and light caramel malt. Taste is smooth, thick and chewy with a bitter orange and caramel malt flavor. Finish is slightly sweet with a good balance of malt and bitter aftertaste. Not as over-the-top bitter as a West Coast IPA, but very tastey and refreshing.

Draught at the brewpub: Shiney copper color, nice head na dlacing. Nose of light acedylhide and earthy hops. The flavor is sour like the hefe but it compliments the hops slightly. This is almost all of the beers with this flavor so far. It’s a sad state to find a brewpub in, but sometimes you can roll with it and it will actually boost one of their beers by a sizeable amount. Still no where near great.
