4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Growler. Pours a slightly hazy straw gold body with a great one inch frothy white head that left some nice sticky lacing. Pretty nice appearance for being in a growler for a few days. The nose is just great, dry bready and lightly crackery malt with a beautiful and delicate hoppiness that smells so fresh it’s crazy. A light yeastiness and a very subtle touch of sulphur. The flavor is just as good as the aroma, great bready and doughy pils malt with a subtle softness that comes from this being unfiltered. The slight yeastiness doesn’t dull the hops, it softens them and really rounds off the edges of the bitterness, while they are still fresh and delicious. The mix of the pils malt and perfect hopping level leads to the most wonderful finish that just begs you to take another sip. Very soft and easy drinking with a bit of doughy clinginess on the finish. Nice light fine bubbled carbonation. This is really really good. I always thought that the Hondo Kellerbier from Berwick would be their best, but this beer easily bests that one.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
on tap at the 2012 selinsgrove brewfest poured a light orange with a fair clarity and light effervesce of generously spaced micro-bubbles. The head was slight, a bit fizzy and washy, quick to dissipate without leaving much of a lacing.
The nose showed signs of sweet candy and oranges. Light mentions of green leafy noble hops come to surface along with some stalky celery leafs following up.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a slightly hazy golden color with a large foamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was strongly tart and almost chalky with lemon, and perfumey notes. The flavor was tangy, nutty, bready and had a moderately strong citric and perfumey hop presence. The finish was long tart citrus and perfume. Light to medium body. Well done.
