1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 altonbrownd (3579) - Brussels, - SEP 8, 2007
Bottle at home. Reminds me of Grolsch in initial taste. Then gets metalic, skunky and thin. A second rate pilsener, but no worse. Not sure what the Best refers to... Perhaps best value for money. as It cost me 17 cents at the store... Best in Dutch, as in "best wel," can refer to being "okay." Which pretty much sums it up.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 rosenbergh (3486) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 23, 2011
330 ml can. Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Clear pale golden colour with average size white head.
Apple, earth, farmyard and mild malt in aroma.
Malt, apple, some mild fruitiness and caramel sweetness (end) in flavour.
Not the worst one to be the cheapest around.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Brandman (1067) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 22, 2011
Golden body, white head. Sweet mlat, grassy hops, some apple too. Poor one.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 kerolasa (375) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUL 2, 2011
Light yellow colour, lager style head which means small one. Lager type smell, bit hops some sweetness. Taste is sweet, aroma has hops which are light. This has light body, quite thin texture. I find carbonation being on unexpected high level, but in comparison this is not most I’ve had in beer; I’m thinking about the category more in this case. There not much other to say about finish that it ends quick. Overall quite typical supermarket lager. And in the plain typicality I don’t know how in the hell it can be justified that this is called best beer? Perhaps ’mediocre pilsner beer’ was too bold for marketeers to put to label.
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Koelschtrinker (7034) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 21, 2011

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Reelingsilk (22) - NETHERLANDS - SEP 8, 2008
I like Pilsners, I just can’t help it. :-) This one is nothing special, but it isn’t awful either. I fail to udnerstand the low ratings people give it here. It’s the one my best pal always has in his house as his everyday drinky.
0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Borresteijn (2756) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 13, 2008
Cheap, metallic, skunky malty sweet lager, no attempt to brew something decent whatsoever. Bad stuff. Beer for cheap-ass students.
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 NoiZe (2325) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - MAR 3, 2008
Golden colored brew. Typical Dutch, cheap, supermarket pilsener. Metallic, crisp, sucky.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 TrefwoordPunk (660) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - FEB 7, 2008
Can 50 cl. Pours a pale golden with a medium white head and a skunky, cardboardish and mushroom-like aroma. The taste isn’t really bad for such a cheap beer, slightly malty and sweet with a bit of skunkyness and almost no hops. Better than most cheap supermarket-brands
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAR 8, 2007
Can, 5%. Clear golden colour, sparkling. Small white head. Refreshing pils aroma. Thin flavour, a little malt, though. Actually no sewer flavour in this.
