[500ml bottle from Millets Farm Shop nr Abingdon; gift from my wife & daughter] Pours a murky orange-brown with no head. Slight fizz. Sweet caramel malt with summer fruits - strawberry maybe. Little hop presence - just a slight sraw bitterness finish in the finish. Very watery indeed - even lighter than the low ABV suggests. May be okay if you’re looking for something to wash the sunday roast down with, but not a beer for tasting.

500ml bottle. Clear orange copper with a thin white head; really more a layer than a head. Fruity aroma, mandarin, orange. Very light body, taste has also some mandarin, and dryer note, culminating in a dry finish with some more power.

Cask Conditioned Handpump Victoria Northampton. A light amber coloured beer with no head. The aroma and taste are both nicely balanced with notes of fruit snd straw bitterness. Bittersweet throughout and an easy drinking balance. Tasty.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival, May 2008. Another golden coloured bitter. Quite clean. Less aromatic than the Alfies from the same brewery. An easy-drinking session beer.

Half pint, hand pulled cask at The Harbour Bar in Kirkcaldy. Some white patchwork on top of an amber-golden body. Lightly toasted grain to the nose. Initial taste of dark roasted malts with salty notes. Dry bitter ending. Quite watery in the mouth [08.11.2008].
