Draft at Craft, calling it Brew Works Barrel-Aged Triple Bock. Dense palate and ample complexity, dark chestnut in color, nose of fruit, oak, dark malt, molasses, with a flavor like a quad hybridized with an old ale and with more hops. A bit of a conundrum, as such, but an enjoyable conundrum, much like your mistress, or your wife when she’s not busting your balls.

On tap at the 2007 GABF: Transparent dark mahogany with a small, frothy dark tan head. Sweet, rich, caramely toffee aroma has a hint of German lager yeast and light fruity notes. Body starts with good German malty viscosity and caramely sweetness balanced with some mild bittering hops and doughy yeast. A very true to stlye and enjoyable doppelbock.
