HighlanderOne (472), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA Aug 18, 2002 This seems as much a ’summer beer’ as BBW’s summer offering. It’s definitely a great one; crisp feel and distinctive in flavor.
DocLock (4175), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA May 21, 2007 Draft at BBW. Medium goldish pour with very little off-white head. I got a spicy and fruity aroma, with definite apricot and some pale malt. The flavor started spicy, and then the apricot kicked in, all the while retaining a very refreshing quality. Medium to light palate heft. eaglefan538 (2141), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Jun 6, 2006 Hey, I’ll admit it, I liked this one. The appearance was the weakest part, very little head and no lacing. The aroma was spicey, coriander most prominent over the light fruity aroma (although w/o the description, I couldn’t identify apricots specifically). Flavor came across as a witbier with apricots lightly mixed in (again, the fruits didn’t dominate this one). A little more fruity and sweet than the average witbier, but a neat twist on the style. Couldn’t drink as many of these strait on through, like I could wits, but a nice finishing drink. Cletus (3614), Connecticut, USA Nov 14, 2005 Pours orange with a thin white head. Smells of coriander and oranges. Taste is initially soappy before mellowing out to reveal the apricot. alobar (725), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 13, 2005 Not much aroma. Cloudy yellow color. Hint of apricot aroma. Mildly spicy taste from the coriander. Couldn’t really taste the apricot at all. Not a bad beer, but taste was not not pronounced enough. hopscotch (4756), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Nov 25, 2003 Cloudy, very light yellow beer.
The nose is nice, but it's way too mild.
Perfectly balanced flavor, but nondescript. Thin ale with a fizzy mouthfeel.
Pretty pathetic, really... for a micro.
