Ancient backlog. Aroma of roasted malt, cocoa, a bit of char. Flavor of sweet chocolate, light but solid roast, medium bitter. A bit chalky. Full bodied-seeming for a beer on nitro.

On tap, Allentown location. Pours a deep opaque black, zero light passing through with a small fizzy brown head that retained amazingly well for a sampler size. Great balance on the nose between the coffee, roast, and chocolate notes. The flavor is a little more roast-centric with coffee and a light smoke note. I wish the coffee were a little more intense, it’s really more of an accent flavor. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, rather creamy with soft gentle carbonation. Not bad, but given the name I was expecting an all-out coffee assault but it wasn’t to be.

Black color with a tan head. Great lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, and chocolate. Flavor of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts. Creamy smooth and delicious.

On nitro at the Allentown location. Pours black with a tan nitro head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, some charred malt. Flavor of roasted malt, charred malt, with some bitter chocolate and lactose in the finish. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. A good stout! 7/4/7/4/14 [3.6/5]
