On tap, at Allentown. Clear amber to copper body with a small fizzy off-white head that fell to a thin film. Dry, slightly grainy nose of toasted malt and a touch of hops. The flavor is dry and toasty with some caramel malt sweetness, a little huskiness and light hops on the finish. A little too boring, even if it’s fairly cleanly made. Mouthfeel is dry with a slight coarseness to it. Moderate fizzy carbonation. About what you’d expect, no more no less.

growler-pours a light tan head with amber color. Aroma is light malt-bready, some spice hops. Taste follows. Easy, some crispness.

On tap at the Iron Pigs game. Clean crisp taste, mostly malt with a slight hint of hops in the finish. Not much there, but will please a crowd.

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of malt, slight toasting, and slight caramel. Poured amber in color with a small, off-white head that disappeared. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malt, slight caramel, slight nuts, dried, leafs, and a hint of brown sugar. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Malt finish. Boring and bland.

Growler shared by jcwattsrugger, thanks John. Poured a nice amber bodey that was slightly thin looking with a smaller light tan head. Aroma of grains, bread, dry hay and earth. Flavor is fresh cut grass, bread and crusty grains. Drinkable but it’s just an average amber.

On tap at the Allentown Brew Works. Pours a translucent golden amber with a medium bubbly white head. Aroma of caramel, light citrus and floral notes. Flavor of the same with some bready/grainy notes, caramel and citrus.

Tap at brewery. Pours clear amber with creamy, off-white head. Aroma is faint with subtle notes of caramel and cereal malts, earthy hops, and stone fruit. Flavor is dry, Vienna malts with light toast and faint hop bitterness; dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear amber with a small white head that dissipates slowly. The aroma is slightly fruity but is mostly toasted malt. The taste has a biscuit note, a bit sweet, light.

Just like the Knuckleball I tasted earlier in my recent visit to the Brew Works in Allentown, this amber lager was a big disappointment. It poured a copper color with absoutely no head. I got a bit of toasted malt and light hops in the aroma. But the flavors were very bland and light. This beer doesn’t really have all that much to offer. I tasted some toasted malt and very light hops in the body, along with a hint of bread.
