On tap at the BBW Brew Pub. Poured a dark and deep red with a brownish tint and no head at all. Almost reminded me of a glass of red wine. Aromas of dark fruits, chocolate, smoke, light alcohol and some roast. Tastes of dark fruits (cherries and plums), brown sugar, all around malty and some sherry qualities. On the sweet side. Light alcohol in the finish but no where near the 12.8%.

Fresh growler courtesy of hopdog. Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells of dark fruit, bananas, cloves, spices, earthy malt, doughiness and chocolate. Tastes of chocolate, some bitter hoppy hints, spices, complimentary warming alcohol, tea and some coffee. Mouthfeel is thick with a boozy finish. Well done.

At tap at the BBW as part of the sampler billed as the Quad Bock. Pours a lightly hazy darker amber with an average bubbly deep tan head. Aroma was very sweet malts, caramel, toffee, dark fruits, slight butterscotch and an overall fruitiness. Flavor was very sweet malts and fruity, light alcohol, dark fruits with an overall maltiness.

Reddish-amber color with an aroma of cherry, fig, and chocolate. Taste was a syrupy-sweet mix of fruit and sugar flavors. Not bad, but you have to start with a good Doppel/Weizen-bock to yeild a really good eisbock.

This is a tough brew. Sweet darker fruit aroma with a hint of alcohol. Thick syrupy body. Flavor is sugary, with blends of fruity tastes, maybe a bit of dark grapes. Alcohol is noticable in the flavor as well. Overall a very nice beverage.
