Bach party. A tasty oktoberfest. I never understood this style, partly because I hadn’t had a lot of good ones, but don’t worry I GOT IT NOW. Good brew.

On tap billed as the Oktoberfest. Pours a deep translucent amber with a smaller creamy off white head that laced and sustained. Aroma of grains, some caramel and toasted malts. Flavor was a grainy maltiness, toasty, cereal, a little grassy and light citrus from hops. Very clean and crisp.

An above average lager that was full and clean. I would have preferred to try their "Oktoberfest," but this one was enjoyable. Reminded me more of Yuengling than their ESB.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 dirtymike (2016) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - APR 8, 2005
Golden in color with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malt. Sweet malt flavor moderatley bitter with a light hop character and a dry finish.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 tsarman (794) - Northern, New Jersey, USA - MAR 29, 2004
Not a good example of the style. Misses the sweet edge that other Marzen/Oktoberfest's I have had (Paulaner, Hacker-Pschorr). I like much of their other brews, but this falls flat.
