Bach party. A tasty oktoberfest. I never understood this style, partly because I hadn’t had a lot of good ones, but don’t worry I GOT IT NOW. Good brew.

On tap at the Bethlehem location. Poured a medium to deeper amber color with an averaged to larger sized off white head. Aromas of toastiness, lighter earthiness, and some caramel. Tastes of caramel, malty, the same toastiness, and the same lighter earthiness. Alcohol content was listed over 7%.

TomDecapolis (4007) - Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 30, 2006
On tap billed as the Oktoberfest. Pours a deep translucent amber with a smaller creamy off white head that laced and sustained. Aroma of grains, some caramel and toasted malts. Flavor was a grainy maltiness, toasty, cereal, a little grassy and light citrus from hops. Very clean and crisp.

An above average lager that was full and clean. I would have preferred to try their "Oktoberfest," but this one was enjoyable. Reminded me more of Yuengling than their ESB.

Golden in color with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malt. Sweet malt flavor moderatley bitter with a light hop character and a dry finish.

Not a good example of the style. Misses the sweet edge that other Marzen/Oktoberfest's I have had (Paulaner, Hacker-Pschorr). I like much of their other brews, but this falls flat.
