Not bad, really. Roasted and bitter. Rich, smooth and full-flavored. Something a little bit off though, can’t quite put my finger on it. Good beer though.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear brown with a small brown head. The aroma has bitter coffee, roasted malt, faint dark chocolate. The taste has a nice dark chocolate, slight bitterness from the roasted malt. Very nice.

BiddleBrau (960) - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 23, 2014
Pours like a Coke, visible carbonation, brown head. Cocoa nose, hint of sweetness. On the maltier side, thinner palate, nice finish (hint of alcohol) with nothing harsh lingering. Go Mountain Hawks!!

Bittersweet chocolate and a little bit of coffee, definite roast as well. Slightly bitter and carbonated. Chocolate is everywhere in this beer. Mouthfeel is bubbly. Roasted malt and more chocolate.

Surprisingly good considering other beers from Fegley’s are pretty bad. Pours dark brown with decent head and good lacing. Chocolate notes on the head. Chocolate, hints of cocoa, full bodied mouth feel. Decent porter.

Pours the color of cola with a small off white head which disappears quickly. Aroma is coffee. Taste is sweet coffee, bitter chocolate, sweet aftertaste with a fair mouthfeel. Nicely done.

Bottle - from sampler pack. Very dark brown and nearly opaque. Quite roasty aroma. Very good porter - right ammount of roast without going into stout territory.

Coffee, chocolate malts and moderate bitterness sum up this deep mahogany porter. Slightly modified English style porter.
